Jennie Schacht, Founder and Principal
Jennie Schacht is founder and principal of Schacht & Associates.

Prior to founding Schacht & Associates, Ms. Schacht was director of a comprehensive perinatal services program for the Native American Health Centers in Oakland and San Francisco. She has over 30 years of experience in the health care field.

In addition to consulting in health and human services, Ms. Schacht authors freelance food articles appearing in local, national and international publications, and on the Web. She has twice been a contributing editor to Gault Millau's Gayot's Guides. She is author of Farmers' Market Desserts and co-author of Sweet & Skinny, The Wine Lover's Dessert Cookbook, and Without Reservations: Cooking at Home with Joey Altman.

Ms. Schacht holds a Certificate in Food and Beverage Management from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and a Master's Degree in Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley, with a concentration in Social Agency Management.
